Uses

Furabucillin is a semi-synthetic penicillin, which is multi-site bound to the essential PBP of E. coli and P. aeruginosa, and the binding effect is strong, it has a high affinity for E. coli PBP2 and PBP3; it also has a strong affinity for E. coli PBP1α and PBP1b; and it has a better affinity for P. aeruginosa PBP1α, PBP2, and PBP3 than piperacillin, and the affinity for PBP2 and PBP3 is significantly stronger than that of cefoperazone, which has high activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and strong outer membrane penetration, and is the most valuable acylurea antibiotic against Pseudomonas aeruginosa in terms of application.
