Tributyltetradecylphosphonium chloride is a colourless liquid with slight odor, it reacts with strong alkalis and strong reducing agents.

Uses

Tetradecyl tributyl phosphonium chloride, a quaternary phosphine salt chemical with an outward appearance, is a white solid mainly used in water conditioners or as a fine-chemical intermediate.

Preparation

With 1-octadecane chloride and tributylphosphine as main raw materials, N, N-dimethylformamide as a solvent, nitrogen as protective gas, n-hexane as extractant, chemical reactor, vacuum filter, extraction tank, vacuum drying oven as equipment, the finished product is obtained through the processes of preparing crude tetradecyltributylphosphine chloride, vacuum filtration, extraction, drying and the like.
