General Description

2-Fluoro-5-methylphenol is a fluorinated aromatic compound.

Synthesis

1mmol m-methylphenol was added to 4ml of 10% aqueous acetic acid, to which 1.5mmol Selectfluor, 0.05mmol Eosin , and 0.05mmol Eosin were added. Y, the reaction was carried out under 12W blue light irradiation at room temperature for 6 h. After the reaction, saturated NaCl aqueous solution was added to the reaction solution and extracted with dichloromethane, and the organic layer was taken through anhydrous sodium sulfate drying, filtration, and evaporation under reduced pressure, which resulted in the compound crude product. The compound crude into silica gel column chromatography, ethyl acetate and petroleum ether volume ratio of 1:9 solution as the mobile phase, TLC tracking to collect the Rf value of 0.3-0.5 eluent, collect the eluent obtained by decompression to remove the solvent, drying, to obtain the formula 2-fluoro-5-methylphenol 96mg (yield 76%).
