Uses

2,5-Dichlorophenylthiourea is a pharmaceutical intermediate that can be prepared in one step from 2,5-dichloroaniline. Literature reports that 2,5-dichlorophenylthiourea can be used to prepare the bactericidal compound N-(2,5-dichlorophenyl)-4-(pyridin-2-yl)-5-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)thiazol-2-amine.

Application

Zhang Mu et al. reported that 2,5-dichlorophenylthiourea can be used to prepare the following 2-aminothiazole derivative compound, 6hN-(2,5-dichlorophenyl)-4-(pyridin-2-yl)-5-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)thiazole-2-amine. 2-Aminothiazole derivatives not only possess excellent insecticidal, fungicidal, herbicidal, and plant growth-regulating activities, but also exhibit outstanding pharmacological activities. Due to their simple synthetic methods and diverse biological activities, they have attracted considerable attention from pesticide and pharmaceutical researchers.
