Uses
2-Trimethylsilyloxy-1,3-butadiene is easily prepared reactive diene for Diels–Alder reactions and other cycloadditions; reactive silyl enol ether for aldol,Michael reactions, and electrophilic additions. It participates in the reactions of Diels–Alder Reactions, Heterodienophiles, [2 + 2] and Other Cycloadditions, Carbene Additions, Aldol Condensations and Electrophilic Additions.
Preparation
2-Trimethylsilyloxy-1,3-butadiene can be prepared easily from methyl vinyl ketone.
