OXELADIN CITRATE Usage And Synthesis

Chemical Properties

White or almost white, crystalline powder.

Uses

Cough suppressant.

in vivo

Oxeladin (135 mg/kg/d, p.o. for 11 d) reduces the extent of infarct expansion in the subacute phase of stroke in rats[1].

Animal Model:Middle cerebral artery occlusion model rats[1]
Dosage:135 mg/kg/day
Administration:MCAO for 2 d, then Oral gavage (p.o.) for 11 d
Result:Significantly improved neurological function on days 3, 7, and 14 following MCAO, decreased final extent of infarct after 14 days. Increased the amount of mature brain-derived neurotrophic factor in the cerebral cortex 2, 6, and 24 h after single oral dose.
