Chemical Properties

Reddish orange powder, soluble in water with yellow to orange color, slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone. In concentrated sulfuric acid is reddish purple, diluted to light yellow light orange; in concentrated hydrochloric acid is purple, and gradually fade to colorless. Its aqueous solution, plus concentrated phosgene acid turns light brown light yellow; plus concentrated caustic soda solution turns red light orange-brown. Dyeing with copper, iron, color and light changes. Solubility in water (80 ℃) is 80g/L.

Uses

C.I. Mordant Orange 6 (cas# 3564-27-0) is an optimized combination of mordant dye with natural dyes, known and tested for its application on cotton fabric.
