Uses
1,1-Dichloropropane was used in the synthesis of chloropropenes by undergoing flash vacuum pyrolysis over magnesium.

Reactivity Profile
Halogenated aliphatic compounds, such as 1,1-DICHLOROPROPANE, are moderately or very reactive. Reactivity generally decreases with increased degree of substitution of halogen for hydrogen atoms.
