Uses
(R)-(1-Amino-3-methylbutyl)boronic acid pinacol hydrochloride is a synthetic intermediate for the cancer treatment drug bortezomib. The anticancer effects of bortezomib as a monotherapy have been demonstrated in xenograft models of multiple myeloma, adult leukemia, lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, head and neck cancer, and colon cancer, as well as in melanoma.
