Brij O10 has been used in a study to assess the aqueous surfactant two-phase systems for the continuous countercurrent cloud point extraction.

General Description

Brij? 93 is a non-ionic surfactant which has a polar group in the form of polyoxyethylene that is separated by the polyethylene chains. Its molecular structure includes polyethylene glycol (PEG) single chain. It is slightly soluble in water and has a hydrophobic nature.

Mildly toxic by ingestion. Whenheated to decomposition it emits acrid smoke andirritating fumes.
