1-Cyclopropyl-7,8-difluoro-6-methoxy-4-oxo-1,4-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxylic Acid is used in the preparation of alkoxyquinolone antibacterial agents. Also an impurity in the synthesis of Moxifloxacin (M745000), a fluorinated quinolone antibacterial.
