Chemical Properties
Pale yellow to pale brown friable transparent glassy mass. Odorless, or slightly special odor. Taste very bitter insoluble in water, soluble in toluene, benzene, petroleum, turpentine, linseed oil, slightly soluble in ethanol. Relative density is about 1.08. It is easy to oxidize in the air, and the powder is self-combustible and can spontaneously combust and explode. Softening point 80～90℃.
Uses
Additive in citrus-flavored beverages.
