Uses

TP 003 is an α3 subtype selective agonist, which provides a robust anxiolytic-like effect in non-human behavioral models of anxiety.

Biological Activity

TP003 is a potent and subtype selective agonist at α3 GABAA receptors th at exhibits an anxiolytic-like effect in both rodent and non-human primate behavioral models of anxiety. Also it appears th at TP003 have anxiolytic properties but lacks ataxic, hyperphagic, and pronounced sedative effects characteristic of classical benzodiazepines in monkeys. TP003 is consider as α3-over-α1 selective positive allosteric modulator (PAM) at GABBAAR.
