Chemical Properties
Polyaniline dissolved in methyl pyrrolidone, the solution formed and cast on the substrate of glass plate, plastic, metal, etc., at 60-80 ° C, the solvent slowly evaporated dry, you can get a large area of the support film, with good mechanical and electrical properties. The tensile strength, Young's modulus and elongation at break are 88, 1560 and 10% respectively. After doping with hydrochloric acid, its strength is slightly decreased, but the toughness is enhanced instead, and the elongation at break can reach 58%.
Uses
PANI can be used in the formation of a conjugating system that finds potential applications in semiconductors. It can be used in the fabrication of a variety of devices which include fuel cells, light emitting diodes supercapacitors, chemical sensors(10) and rechargeable batteries.(11)
Uses
A variety of nanomaterials like silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), graphene oxide(GO), aluminum oxide(α-Al2O3), carbon fiber and graphite can be potentially used in conjunction with PANI for the development of translational medicine, supercapacitors, triboelectric nanogenerators, and other energy storage applications.
Uses
PANI-EB finds its usage in a variety of applications which include chemical sensors, absorptive micro-extraction, anticorrosive layer and microelectromechanical systems.
General Description
Inherently conducting polymer based additive. Stable up to at least 300°C in air. Polyaniline is environmentally stable and with tunable conductivity. Synthesis of polyaniline (PANI) emeraldine salt by chemical oxidation has been reported. It was observed that sulfonated dyes chemically interact with the charged backbone of PANI. PANI selectively adsorbs the sulfonated dye. Spectral, diffraction and conductivity measurements of the polymer has been reported in the same study.
