Uses
Neutrophil elastase inhibitor 3 (compound 13), a benzoxazinone analog, shows effects on superoxide anion generation and exhibits as a neutrophil elastase (NE) inhibitor, with an IC50 of 80.8 nM for NE release[1].
in vivo
Neutrophil elastase inhibitor 3 (compound 13, 1 mg/kg of body weight, intravenously) significantly attenuates the increase in myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity and edema in the lung of rats after trauma-hemorrhagic shock[1].
