Description

Anemonin (ANE) is a natural bioactive compound, an active compound of C. crassifolia, that regulates tyrosinase-related proteins and mRNAs in human melanocytes and inhibits melanin synthesis, making it a potential cosmetic ingredient. In addition, Anemonin has anti-aging properties, and it has been shown that ANE ameliorates human diploid fibroblast 2BS and IMR90 cellular senescence via the PARP1-NAD+-SIRT1 signalling pathway.

Uses

Anemonin is a Chinese herbal medicinal ingredient that inhibits pigmentation synthesis in human melanocytes.

Biological Functions

Anemonin has anti-inflammatory effects, and its mechanism of action is to exert anti-inflammatory effects by targeting the regulation of protein kinase C-θ (PKC-θ) and inhibiting the expression of related inflammatory factors, which has the potential to treat ulcerative colitis.

Biological Activity

Anemonin is the dimerization product of the toxin protoanemonin and easily reacts with water to a dicarboxylic acid.

Physiological effects

Anemonin have the effect of antispasmodic and analgesic.
