1- chloro-N,N-2-trimethylpropenylamine readily prepared' from N,N-dimethylisobutyramide. Isoxazoles are prepared by deprotonation of N,N-dimethylisobutyramide.

N,N-Dimethylisobutyramide may be used in the preparation of 1-chloro-N,N,2-trimethylpropenylamine.

General Description

N,N-Dimethylisobutyramide is an N,N-disubstituted amide. It can be prepared by acylation of secondary amines with acyl chloride.
