Chemical Properties

Mimosa is a deciduous evergreen shrub native to Australia, having pinnate blue-green to medium green leaves and yellow flower clusters. The plant has become acclimated to the French and Italian Riviera, where it was transplanted in the early 1800s. It is cultivated for ornamental (flowers) and extractive purposes. The flower is the part used. Mimosa has a delicate, sweet, floral odor. Derivatives: The concrete, which is extracted from the flowers in approximately 0.7 to 1.1%, yields usable petroleum ether

Uses

Thiazole Yellow G is a triazene dye and acid-base indicator.

Uses

Dyeing cotton, viscose rayon, natural silk; as biological stain; as an analytical reagent, most often for the determination of Mg; as pH indicator, yellow 11.0 to red 13.0; as fluorescent dye for microscopy.

Preparation

2-(4-Aminophenyl)-6-methylbenzo[d]thiazole-7-sulfonic acid diazo, and the 2-(4-Aminophenyl)-6-methylbenzo[d]thiazole-7-sulfonic acid?coupling. In some closely related to the grade of the dyes, as one or two to a generation of 2-(4-Aminophenyl)-6-methylbenzo[d]thiazole-7-sulfonic acid?C.I.Direct Yellow 59 (C.I. 49000) instead. For example, Oxydiamine Yellow TZM structure is the 2-(4-Aminophenyl)-6-methylbenzo[d]thiazole-7-sulfonic acid?and C.I.Direct Yellow 59?matches generated.

Composition

The bark contains from 24 to 42% of tannin and also contains gallic acid

General Description

Thiazole Yellow G is a pH sensitive chromoionophore.

Properties and Applications

yellow. Soluble in water and ethanol lemon yellow. The strong sulfuric acid for lemon yellow, diluted for extremely shallow yellow. The dye solution to join strong hydrochloric acid have gold orange precipitation; Add thick sodium hydroxide solution have orange precipitation. Used for cellulose fiber dyeing, can be used for biological, indicator, leather, paper, shading.
