Uses

A highly selective and potent inhibitor of Ras farnesyltransferase (IC₅₀ = 83 nM). Inhibits geranylgeranyltransferase I (IC₅₀ = 26 µM) and II (IC₅₀ = 47 µM) at much higher concentrations.
Potent and highly selective inhibitor of farnesyltransferase (FTase; IC₅₀ = 83 nM). Inhibits geranylgeranyltransferase (GGTase) I and II at much higher concentrations (IC₅₀ = 26 µM and 47 µM for GGTase I and II, respectively).
The FPT Inhibitor I controls the biological activity of FPT. This small molecule/inhibitor is primarily used for Cancer applications.
