Ethyl 4-methoxy-6-methylsalicylate is white or colorless crystal needles. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in alcohol, miscible with oils. Poorly soluble in Propylene glycol.

Ethyl everninate is an atranol-like secondary metabolite that can be isolated from oakmoss[1].
