Uses
Pseudoisocytidine is an analog of the nucleoside Cytidine . It has been shown to inhibit DNA methylation by inactivation of DNA methyltransferase and induce the expression of the human hypoxanthine-??guanine phosphoribosyltransferase (HPRT). It can be useful in the study of nucleoside recognition by cytidine deaminase, which is responsible for the degradation and inactivation of several cytidine-??based antitumor drugs such as cytarabine , gemcitabine , decitabine , and azacytidine .
