Chemical Properties

Pure product is light yellow needle crystal (dye is often yellow or yellow-brown powder). Melting point 139-140 ℃, relative density 1.211, insoluble in water, soluble in acetone, soluble in ethanol, ethyl acetate, acetic acid and boiling benzene. This product is toxic, very easy to be absorbed by the skin to cause poisoning, but can be quickly excreted with the urine.
