INDO 1 PENTAPOTASSIUM SALT Chemical Properties,Usage,Production

Description

Indo-1 is a ratiometric fluorescent indicator for calcium. Indo-1 is useful for flow cytometry. The emission maximum shifts from 475-485 nm without calcium to 400-410 nm when indo-1 binds calcium.

Uses

A cell impermeable fluorescent probe for calcium. Has lower affinity than FURA 2 and gives a large shift in fluorescent emission from 482nm to 398nm upon calcium binding.

Excitation / Emission Maximum

349-364 nm/475-485 nm (no Ca2+), 400-410 nm (Ca2+-bound)
