Propyliodone (crico-thyroid membrane injection; 1 mL, in diodone (50% w/v); once) induces lung irritation in vivo[1].

| Result: | Showed macroscopic signs of lung irritation at 16 hours, reached a maximum at three days and appeared normal after two weeks. Caused a few scattered foci of round cell infiltration in the interstitial tissue adjoining the small bronchi of the rabbits . |
