Uses

Bis(tetrabutylammonium) bis(1,3-dithiole-2-thione-4,5-dithiolato)platinum(II) (CAS# 72688-91-6) is an inorganic reagent used in the preparation of radical triphenylpyridinium-TEMPO salts, a weak antiferromagnetic compound. Bis(tetrabutylammonium) bis(1,3-dithiole-2-thione-4,5-dithiolato)platinum(II), when compounded with iron azaheptamethylene salicylideneiminate, forms a conductor with spin-crossover properties.
