Occurrence

Reportedly present in garlic (Allium sativum L.).

Preparation

Reportedly produced in a patented process from filamentous fungi by heating them in water at a temperature sufficient to reduce their nucleic acid content. The resulting aqueous solution is concentrated to separate the solids
