Biological Activity

GMQ/2-Guanidine-4-methylquinazoline is a potent and selective modulator of acid-sensing ion channel (ASIC) th at activates ASIC3 channels under neutral pH. GQM blocks acid-induced maximal peak current and alters ASICs pH dependence for activation and inactivation.
