Chemical Properties

Uses

Dihydrocyclosporin A is a closely related co-metabolite of cyclosporin A. Dihydrocyclosporin A possesses no immunosuppressant activity and has found use as a control to determine the role of immunosuppression in the pharmacology of cyclosporin A, particularly in the treatment of parasitic infections.

Uses

Dihydrocyclosporin A (DHCsA-d) is cyclosporine A (CsA) derivative. DHCsA-d significantly inhibited promastigotes and intracellular amastigotes, but it is highly cytotoxic.

Uses

A Cyclosporin A (C988900) analog, an immunosuppressant.

Side effects

Dihydrocyclosporine A has no obvious nephrotoxic effect, but it exhibits hepatotoxic effects, often leading to hypertension.
