N-[(9Z)-1-Oxo-9-octadecenyl]-L-valine is a transient receptor potential vanilloid type 3 (TRPV3) receptor antagonist. TRPV3 is expressed in skin and involved in skin physiology and pathophysiology, thermo-sensing and nociception. TRPV3 antagonists can be used to develop treatments for inflammatory skin conditions.
