Uses

(R)-3-Aminopyrrolidine dihydrochloride is a key intermediate in the synthesis of chiral drugs or pesticides, and it can be used in the synthesis of vinylpyrrolidone-Cephaloridine drugs.

Synthesis

(3R)-(-)-3-Aminopyrrolidine dihydrochloride was prepared by reacting (R)-3-(tert-butoxycarbonyl-amino)-pyrrolidine in methanol with chloroform Sulfone at room temperature for 6-9 hours.
