Uses
Hexaethylene Glycol Monooctyl Ether is used as an antistatic agent for conveying belts of plastic products in underground coal mines, which can eliminate electrostatic induction during conveying. And it can also be used as pesticides and other industrial emulsifiers.
Synthesis
Hexaethylene Glycol Monooctyl Ether was synthesized by condensation, neutralization and decolorization of octylphenol and ethylene oxide under the catalysis of solid base.
