Chlorfluazuron is white powder, melting point 215.6~218.8℃. Bulk density 0.198g/mL, stack density 0.338g/mL, water solubility 2.76×10-4g/L(20℃,pH 6). Solubility in solvent (g/L): ethyl acetate 19.875, n-hexane 4.0902×10-3, trichloromethane 2.3921, ethanol 9.4141, acetone 39.644, methanol 34.987.

Definition
ChEBI: Cyhalodiamide is a dicarboxylic acid diamide obtained by formal condensation of the two carboxy groups of 2-chlorophthalic acid with the amino groups of 4-(1,1,1,2,3,3,3-heptafluoropropan-2-yl)-2-methylaniline and 2-amino-2-methylpropanenitrile. It has a role as an insecticide and an agrochemical. It is a dicarboxylic acid diamide, an aromatic amide, an organofluorine compound, a member of monochlorobenzenes and a nitrile. It is functionally related to a phthalic acid.
Synthesis
Starting from 2-chlorophthalic anhydride, the 1-position amidation reaction is carried out with 4-(1,1,1,2,3,3,3-heptafluoropropan-2-yl)-2-methylaniline in dichloromethane at 25°C for 6 hours, catalyzed by triethylamine, to obtain the monoamide intermediate; subsequently, this intermediate undergoes 2-position amidation with 2-amino-2-methylpropanenitrile in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), using triphosgene as the condensing agent, at 60°C for 12 hours; after the reaction, the reaction mixture is washed with water, concentrated under reduced pressure, and purified by recrystallization from an ethanol-water mixture (volume ratio 3:1), yielding Cyhalodiamide with a melting point of 216–218°C, a purity of 98.5%, and an overall yield of 78%.
