Chemical Properties

Blue-black powder. Aqueous solution is reddish gray. Reddish purple in concentrated sulfuric acid, light reddish purple after dilution. Brown in concentrated nitric acid, light brown solution after dilution. No change in concentrated hydrochloric acid, light blue after dilution, with precipitation. No change in concentrated sodium hydroxide solution, diluted blue solution.

Uses

C.I. Acid black 60 is an acidic black dye that can be adsorbed and removed by bentone.

Preparation

3-Amino-4-hydroxy-N-methylbenzenesulfonamide diazo, and N-(7-hydroxynaphthalen-1-yl)acetamide coupling, and then turn it into 1:2 chromium complex.

Properties and Applications

blue ash. Blue-black powder. The strong sulfuric acid for red purple, pink to purple solution diluted; No change in strong hydrochloric acid, after dilution is light blue solution and accompanied by precipitation; In nitric acid for brown, diluted is shallow brown; No change in sodium hydroxide solution, diluted solution for blue. Water solution is blue light gray.
