Uses

DCAP is a broad-spectrum antibiotic targeting the membranes of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. DCAP blocks autophagy at the late stages by preventing autophagolysosome maturation and interrupting the autophagic flux[1].

Biological Activity

DCAP is a potent broad-spectrum antibiotic th at specifically targets the membranes of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It reduces the transmembrane potential, kills stationary-phase cells and sterilizes bacterial biofilms. DCAP has no effect on red blood cell membranes at levels toxic to bacteria.
