Celangulin Chemical Properties,Usage,Production
Chemical Properties
The pure product of Bittersweet is a white amorphous powder, non-volatile, stable to light and heat. Soluble in ethanol, acetone, ether, trichloromethane and other organic solvents. Bittersweet is safe for higher animals, mice at a dose of 6000 mg/kg oral root powder, no obvious symptoms of poisoning; no irritation to the eyes and skin; safe for birds, aquatic animals, bees and pests of the main natural enemies. Safe for birds, aquatic animals, bees and major natural enemies. Highly effective against some Lepidoptera, Orthoptera and Coleoptera pests. The main mode of action is gastric toxicity, without touch and fumigation.
Uses
Celangulin is an insecticidal component isolated from Celastrus angulatus. Celangulin activates the calcium channel on the plasma membrane with increasing the intracellular Ca2+ after influx from the external. Celangulin activates the calcium channel in the ER[1].
