Application
Sodium zirconium silicate (Na2ZrSi3O9) is an important chemical product that can be used as a ramming material in the melting, refining and furnace walls of glass furnaces. It can also be used as a tanning agent in the leather industry and as a chemical raw material for optical glass.
Synthesis
A sodium zirconium silicate powder with high purity and low impurity content, and an easy-to-operate preparation method of the sodium zirconium silicate powder to meet the high-quality requirements for sodium zirconium silicate powder in multiple fields. Silicon dioxide with a purity of ??99.5%, zirconium dioxide with a purity of ??99.99%, and sodium silicate with a purity of ??99.5% are used as the raw materials, which have a molar ratio of silica: zirconium dioxide: sodium silicate = 2:1:1, and the raw materials are ball-milled by a ball mill, wherein the material of the ball-mill jar is a zirconium dioxide material. The raw material is put into the ball milling tank with zirconium dioxide grinding balls and deionized water, and the slurry is obtained after ball milling, wherein the volume ratio of the raw material to the deionized water is 1:1-1:2, the rotational speed of the ball milling tank is 50-80 rpm, and the time of the ball milling is 24-30h; after solid-liquid separation of the slurry by using centrifugal machine, the separated solids are subjected to calcinations and heat treatments in high temperature furnaces, wherein the temperatures of the calcinations are 1400-1500??C, and the time of calcination is 5-8h, the sodium zirconium silicate (Na2ZrSi3O9) powder is obtained.
