Gray-black solid. Has higher electrical conductivity than graphite.

Uses

It is used as a potential substance for thin film solar cells as back contact material. It is widely used in electricity brush & special bearings because of its conductivity and lubricity property.

Uses

The two dimensional layered inorganic nanomaterials have drawn significant attention recently owing to their thickness dependent on physical and chemical properties. They find applications in photocatalysis, photovoltaics, gas sensing, lithium ion batteries, field effect transistors, spintronics etc. Transition metal dischalcogenides represent an important class of inorganic 2D materials having the aforementioned applications.

Uses

Lubricant and conductor at high temperatures and high vacuum.
