Uses

MitoBloCK-10 (MB-10) is the first small molecule modulator to attenuate protein-associated motor (PAM) complex activity. MitoBloCK-10 (MB-10) inhibits Tim44 (C-terminal domain) binding to the precursor and to Hsp70[1].

Biological Activity

Mitochondrial import blocker of substances requiring inner membrane translocon TIM23.
MitoBloCK-10 (MB-10) is mitochondrial import blocker of substances requiring inner membrane translocon TIM23 (TIM23) in yeast and mammalian mitochondria. It appears th at MB-10 targets Tim44 of the PAM complex. MitoBloCK-10 does not alter respiraton. MB-10 inhibits cardiac development and induces apoptosis in Zebrafish embryos. It inhibits bladder cancer cell growth in vitro and in vivo.
