Uses
Minimycin is an antibiotic isolated from the culture broth of Streptomyces hygroscopicus. It is active against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and also possesses significant antitumor activity against transplantable tumors.
Safety Profile
Poison by intraperitoneal, subcutaneous, and intravenous routes. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NOx.
