Uses

Manganese gluconate [Mn(C6H11O7)] is used as a food additive, a vitamin, and a dietary supplement (also manganese glycerophosphate). It is found in green leafy vegetables, legumes, (peas and beans), and brewer’s yeast.

Description

A slightly pink-colored powder. Manganese gluconate is anhydrous when obtained by spray-drying or a dihydrate when obtained by crystallization. It is very soluble in hot water and is very slightly soluble in alcohol.

Manganese Gluconate is a nutrient supplement that is a slightly pink-colored powder. it is obtained by reacting manganese carbon- ate with gluconic acid in aqueous medium and then crystallizing the product. the supplement is used in baked goods, nonalcoholic beverages, dairy product analogs, fish products, meat products, milk products, and poultry products. the ingredient may be used in infant formulas.
