Chlorocriptine is a dopaminergic receptor agonist which was shown to inhibit prolactin secretion.

Definition

Chlorocriptine is an Impurity of Bromocriptine which is in a class of medications called dopamine receptor agonists. Bromocriptine  treats hyperprolactinemia by decreasing the amount of prolactin in the body.
