Definition

ChEBI: Lucialdehyde C is a tetracyclic triterpenoid that is lanosta-8,24-dien-26-al substituted by a beta-hydroxy group at position 3 and an oxo group at position 7. Isolated from Ganoderma lucidum and Ganoderma pfeifferi, it exhibits cytotoxic activity. It has a role as a metabolite and an antineoplastic agent. It is an aldehyde, a cyclic terpene ketone, a tetracyclic triterpenoid and a secondary alcohol. It derives from a hydride of a lanostane.
