Description

Azido-SS-PEG2-acid is a cleavable PEG linker. The azide group can undergo copper-catalyzed Click Chemistry reactions with alkynes, DBCO and BCN moieties. The terminal carboxylic acid can be reacted with primary amine groups in the presence of activators (e.g. EDC, or HATU) to form a stable amide bond. The PEG spacer increases the water solubility of compounds in aqueous media.

Uses

Azido-C2-SS-PEG2-C2-acid is a cleavable 2 unit PEG ADC linker used in the synthesis of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs)[1]. Azido-C2-SS-PEG2-C2-acid is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
