Myelin Basic Protein (1-11) is an encephalitogenic epitope of myelin basic protein (MBP). Myelin Basic Protein (1-11) can be used for induction of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE)[1][2].

in vivo

Myelin Basic Protein (1-11) (100 μg/mL)-pulsed DC cells (i.p.) leads to experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) when transferred into irradiated B10.PL mice^[1].
Myelin Basic Protein (1-11) (100 μg, i.p.) induced tolerance to MBP in adult mice and prevents MBP-induced EAE^[2].
