Chemical Properties
Dark brownish red powder. Slightly soluble in water. Deep red solution in concentrated sulfuric acid, precipitated after dilution. Slight change in color and light when stained with copper ions, no change when stained with iron ions.
Uses
Acid red 266 is a multifunctional dye. Dyes are important tools in biological experiments.
