VANADIUM DIBROMIDE Usage And Synthesis
Chemical Properties
Vanadium dibromide is light-brown to reddish; light pink-red when heated. Feltlike to flaky crystal aggregates. More hygroscopic than VCl2, but not as sensitive as VBr3. Gives a violet solution with H2O; this soon turns brown, evolving H2. d 4.58. Crystal structure: C6 (Cdl2) type.
