Description
BaC2 has the molecular weight of 161.348 g/mol and the CAS number of 50813- 65-5. It is a gray cubic to rhombohedral crystal with a density of 3.74 g/cc.

Synthesis
According to 12% graphite powder (weight percentage), 80% barium oxide powder (weight percentage), 8% semi-solid binder (weight percentage), after 2 hours of mixing, in the steel mold two-way pressing forming into a billet, billet forming pressure of 60MPa; billet after 1250 , 5 hours of reaction synthesis of the vacuum furnace to become a billet containing a large number of pores; billet mechanically crushed ingots screened and purified, washed clean with alcohol and dried, to obtain a larger barium dicarbonate (BaC2) particles, the collected barium dicarbonate (BaC2) particles and the appropriate amount of barium dicarbonate (BaC2) particles, with Alcohol washed clean and dried to get a larger barium bicarbonate (BaC2) particles, the collection of barium bicarbonate (BaC2) particles and the appropriate amount of surfactant into the planetary high-energy ball mill, corundum ball mill tanks in the protection of argon gas, rotational speed of 800rad/min, ball milling time of 10 hours, will be collected in the fine BaC2 powder and a certain amount of solid binder in the steel mold in the two-way pressing , pressing molding pressure of 350 MPa, and further pressing with cold isostatic pressure equipment, pressing molding pressure of 300 MPa, the sample into the sintering furnace sintering, sintering temperature 1500 , sintering time of 4 hours, take out to get the grain size distribution uniformity, impurities less barium dicarbonide dielectric block material.
