Description

(C12) Dodecanoylcarnitine chloride, also known as lauroyl-L-carnitine chloride, is a synthetic compound of the amino acid carnitine and dodecanoic (laurylic) acid.

Dodecanoylcarnitine is a long-chain acylcarnitine and can be used as a diagnostic indicator for various oxidation defects. Dodecanoylcarnitine of high chemical purity is used as a control for chromatographic methods with mass spectrometry.

The product is used primarily as a control for MS/MS.
