Uses
2-(Benzofuran-2-yl)-2-imidazoline Hydrochloride is a I2 receptor agonists that induces hypothermic effect in rats.
Biological Activity
High affinity I 2 ligand (K i = 9.8 nM). Putative I 2 agonist; potentiates morphine antinociception. Produces ipsiversive rotational behavior in rats with a full 6-OHDA lesion of the nigrostriatal tract.
in vivo
RX 801077 hydrochloride (5, 10, 20 mg/kg; i.p.; twice daily for 3 days) inhibits NLRP3 inflammasome-induced inflammation and necroptosis in a rat model of traumatic brain injury[2].
