ALLYLDIBUTYLTIN CHLORIDE Usage And Synthesis
Chemical Properties
CLEAR COLOURLESS LIQUID
Uses
Allyldibutyltin Chloride is a versatile reagent, together with other related halides, for the allylation of carbonyl compounds to form homoallylic alcohols, halotetrahydropyrans, allyl ethers, alkenyl-N-alkyl carbamates, and esters.
storage
Allyldibutyltin Chloride is very easy to handle without special precautions. Nevertheless, storage in the refrigerator and in dark bottles is recommend. Its toxicity has been determined to be comparable to that of Tri-n-butylchlorostannane. Use in a fume hood.
